The School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College in Goose Island, which has a list of notable chef/owner graduates such as Shawn McClain (Green Zebra), Mindy Segal (Hot Chocolate), and Michael Altenberg (Crust) offers diners the opportunity to taste the classroom projects of chefs-in-training long before they become famous. The menus change quarterly; dinner offers a la carte choices and the lunch menu is prix-fixe (and a great value, priced at less than $20 for three courses).
