The downtown outpost of this candy store, which opened its first location in Highland Park in 1982, is located in the Monadnock building in the Loop. More than 60 types of candies and novelties--including turtles, gummy candies and malted milk balls--are on display in the orange-, yellow- and hot pink-tinted shop, which owner Gail Goodman describes as an updated country store. Sixty jars along the wall showcase some of the offerings that Goodman hand-selects during trips to New York, Atlanta and other cities throughout the year; truffles, chocolate-covered potato chips and other items are on view in a display case. Confections are priced by the pound from $8.95 to $24.95--but can be purchased in smaller quantities ranging from a handful to an individual piece.
