This 8,000-square-foot location is one of two outposts of the Chopping Block (the other is in Lincoln Square). The school caters to home cooks with a variety of hands-on and demonstration courses, as well as wine classes and a series of learn-to-cook "building block" classes. This location aims offerings at downtown workers with lunch-and-learn offerings, interactive singles classes and a Friday-night dinner club. The space is also available for private events. In addition to three classroom kitchens, it features a retail area stocked with professional-quality cookware, gourmet and ethnic food products, and books.
