Arun Sampanthavivat, owner of the Irving Park eatery Arun's, plans to open this yet-to-be-named spot in the upcoming 12,500-square-foot Albany Park Thai Town Center in late spring 2012. Offering a small plate-style menu, the restaurant features healthy options and a focus on seasonally available organic ingredients -- including herbs harvested from the building's rooftop garden. Thanks to the eatery's creative dining concept, you can take your tapas-like Thai food home or eat it in the 6,000-square-foot restaurant's casual or more formal dining areas. The restaurant will also sell to-go spices, sauces and make-at-home meals – and, "to give food to the mouth and also restore body," Sampanthavivat says you can also stop by the second-floor Thai spa after eating.
