Here's the place to grab some Chinese lunch or dinner while taking a break from shopping or before or after a movie at Old Orchard Center. It's located in the food court (facing Skokie Blvd., it's the building with the big red apple on top). Choose from the fast-food steam-table menu of "combos" or from the Stir Light prepared-to-order menu. Fast-food entrees include teriyaki beef, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken and kun pao chicken as well as "golden brown fish." Prepared-to-order selections include barbecue pork with vegetables, chicken fried rice, beef fried noodles and crab rangoon. This menu can be prepared with no (vegetable) oil or very little oil upon request. No MSG. The food court is a large open space with a terrazzo floor where diners sit at tables-for-two or for-four. Customers place orders at the tile-walled "storefront" style restaurants and carry their food to their tables. The Stir Light staff will carry trays to tables for people who need help. The high chairs and two unisex "family restrooms" that are also wheelchair accessible make the food court a family-friendly place. These restrooms are extra roomy and offer an adult-size toilet, a child-size toilet, a sink with counter space for placing baby gear, a fold-down changing table and a toddler seat affixed to the wall (for strapping in little ones temporarily).
