For the past four years, Shinto Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar has educated sushi lovers on how to properly roll the Japanese delicacy they enjoy. Now, the Naperville Japanese restaurant is once again offering classes on sushi rolling, and it’s open to anyone who is willing to learn the skill.
"The response has been fantastic," Kurtis Lott of Shinto said. "People love the experience and the atmosphere of the class--it’s a lot of fun."
Classes, which last for about two hours each, are conducted by the establishment’s professional sushi chefs. Lessons include all the basics of knife artistry, rice preparation, various seafood selections and the techniques required to roll sushi at home. It is an excellent skill that can be used for holiday parties, corporate events, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, gatherings and even intimate dinners.
