This Irving Park bakery is best known for its fresh pita bread, which is cranked out of the oven all day long and can be snatched up by the 10-pack for less than a buck per package. There's no seating, but counter service is available for takeout sandwiches--the house favorite is piping-hot pita topped with meat, cheese and Mediterranean herbs. The shop's friendly owners, who also are affiliated with nearby Al-Khaymeih, have made a name for themselves in the neighborhood with their plump spinach pies, fresh feta and imported olives, all of which are available here alongside grocery and household items such as Turkish coffee, Middle Eastern-style cheeses, hookah charcoals and basmati rice, among other Middle-Eastern must-haves.
