Serving up Korean barbecue as authentic as any place in Chicago, this Albany Park BYOB also is revered among faithful regulars for the house specialty, bi bim bop, a traditional Korean dish of rice mixed with meat, vegetables and blazing-hot chili pepper paste. Aside from bi bim bop, the friendly, family-oriented spot offers standard Korean fare such as kimchi and yook kae jang, along with legendary dishes such as sul lung tang soup, a milky broth simmered with oxtail and beef bones with glass noodles and onions. However, most everything on the inexpensive menu is arranged around the seasoned, grilled Korean barbecue meat (bulgogi) accompanied by banchan, miniature bowls of sides and garni such as radishes, watercress, garlic and other fresh ingredients.
