Formerly known as Ballo, this Italian trattoria is a River North favorite. Brought to you by the folks behind the city's other Rosebud restaurants, this relaxed, cozy outpost offers generous portions of pastas such as penne diavola and spaghetti and meatballs, as well as steaks, seafood and wood-fired pizzas. The menu changes frequently to incorporate fresh ingredients. Have a favorite dish from another Rosebud restaurant? They kitchen will be happy to make it for you. Folks who remember Ballo may recall loud music and mob movies. They're decidedly absent at the toned-down Rosebud Trattoria, but nearly everything else remains the same.
