Katy and Waldo Garcia – who actually met at the restaurant when it had different owners and later married – run this Schaumburg treasure. He's the chef and she run's the dining room. The stuffed and thin-crust pies are both award-winning and local favorites, probably because everything's made from scratch every day. Other menu standouts include the stuffed eggplant, veal and housemade pastas. Plus you can bring your whole family without breaking the bank: Riccardo's caters to all ages and appetites with most entrees less than 15 bucks (and pizzas being an even cheaper option.) You won't find starchy linens in this dining room – just good food and friendly, attentive service. And don't miss Katy's wine tasting dinner, usually twice a year.
