Executive chef Dean Zanella, who previously helmed the kitchen at 312 and Al Dino's, has crafted a menu featuring fresh Italian flavors and local, seasonal ingredients for this downtown eatery, which is adjacent to the Symphony Center in the Loop. Trattoria-themed standouts include an extensive antipasta section; grilled baby octopus appetizer with oranges, beans and celery and the Squid Ink Chitarra entree, made with braised calamari, tomatoes and pangrattato. Zanella has also incorporated a few favorites from Al Dino's, including an Italian porchetta-style pig roast every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And there'll likely be more creative culinary picks to try soon: The eatery plans to change its menu roughly four times a year.
