This family-friendly Blue Island spot started life as a neighborhood coffee shop serving a few Mexican dishes, then made the switch to full-blown Mexican restaurant in 2007. The daily breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are Mexican-heavy, with a few American dishes thrown in. An order of huevos con nopales, scrambled eggs with cactus, tomato, onion and jalapeno, is guaranteed to spice up your morning, while standards such as tortilla soup and carne asada are favored among the lunch and dinner crowds.
