While this airy breakfast and lunch spot is located in the lobby of Hotel Aloft, Beatrix has its own entrance to make feel it more accessible to locals. Veteran Lettuce chefs Susan Weaver, John Chiakulas and Rita Dever are behind the new American menu which features dishes such as fries made with Kennebec potatoes and served with poached egg mayo. The drink selection focuses on local craft beers as well as juice blends and sodas such as cucumber-mint soda and turmeric tonic that can also be mixed into cocktails. Beatrix's coffee shop serves Metropolis and Intelligentsia coffee along with homemade baked goods such as chocolate-cherry English muffins, honey-butter cinnamon rolls and thin, crispy chocolate-chip cookies. A cooler will stock fruit and yogurt for breakfast, transitioning to sandwiches and salads later in the day.
