Buy locally grown non-certified organic produce from this two-acre urban farm. Choose from a wide variety of tomatoes, beets, potatoes, melons, squash and more. The farm is a sustainable organic farm located on land where Cabrini Green housing once stood. The farm utilizes composted soil, which is generated from produce trimmings from Kendall College and from some of Chicago's top eateries, like Frontera Grill/Topolobampo. The farm boasts 30 varieties of tomatoes as well as beets, carrots, potatoes, gourmet lettuces, herbs and melons. Although a large percentage of the produce is sold to eateries like Frontera Grill, Lula Cafe and Green Zebra, the farm is open to the public three days a week.
