This Lincoln Park spot shares its address with Cafe Bernard's (next door), another restaurant which sits at the corner of Halsted and Dickens. These two restaurants are owned by the same Frenchman, with the Rooster's entrance actually on Dickens. It's worth the effort to look for it, since the Rooster, which looks like a cozy French inn, not only offers a very romantic atmosphere, but serves up mouth-watering delicacies such as duck a l'orange, pate forestiere and creme brulee at especially good prices.
