Don't mistake Racine Plumbing for what it sounds like -- it's actually a friendly neighborhood sports bar in Lincoln Park. Owner Chris Owens (a former owner at Lucky Sandwich Company) named the place after his great grandfather's plumbing business, founded in Chicago in 1892 and sold off in the '80s. Copper railings, servers donning toolbelts and family portraits on the walls all fall into line with the theme. Apps range from your classic wings and sliders to fancier snacks such as seared ahi tuna with pomegranate sauce. More than a dozen sandwiches and burgers, a handful of wines and craft beers round out the menu, but we suggest you save room for the deep-fried Oreo or Twinkie desserts. Into rec sports? The bar offers sponsorship for local teams of all levels.
