Two-time James Beard award-winner Sarah Stegner and co-chef/co-owner George Bumbaris are behind this seasonally focused, contemporary American spinoff of their Northbrook restaurant, Prarie Grass Cafe. Stegner and Bumbaris split kitchen time between their original restaurant and this West Loop sibling; Stegner's husband, Rohit Nambiar, oversees the wine list and beverage program, while Prairie Grass Cafe's mixologist, Daniel Sviland, handles specialty cocktails. The menu is similar to its suburban counterpart, with few signature dishes carrying over, including the acclaimed blue cheese-topped sirloin burger. Weekend brunch features eggs Benedicts and other favorites such as lemon ricotta pancakes, and there's a separate bar menu serving up lighter bites to the after-work crowd.
