This Lakeview neighborhood bistro offers a menu of American fare with global touches in a cozy, candlelit dining room that tends to draw families in the early evening and couples as the night wears on. The entree lineup is heavy on meat and seafood options—think red wine-braised short ribs or pan-seared whole trout infused with fresh herbs and lemon—and shows some Italian influence. Chef Todd Sosamon has logged time in kitchens across the U.S., including Intercontinental Hotel, A Mano Italian Restaurant and Bin 36 locally. Try his braised short ribs, slow-cooked in Fat Tire Ale, served on a bed of polenta and brussel sprouts and finished with a fig reduction. The concise wine list is approachable, with plenty of options in the $20 and $30 range and nearly nothing more than $50.
