Chris Freeman, a former managing partner with the Four Corners Tavern Group (Kirkwood, Schoolyard, Gaslight and Brownstone, among others) and Chris Dexter (formerly involved with Stone Lotus, del Toro and Elm Street Liquors) are behind this grown-up gathering place with an antique vibe in Old Town. This expansive space has an updated antique parlor-like feel, while TVs fixed on lifts are displayed or hidden depending on the night's events. Identifying itself as a neighborhood spot, Old Town Social doesn't accept reservations, but it also boasts some upscale features that set it apart from the pack, such as a charcuterie bar, brocade curtain-draped booths for two and a food menu by Jared Van Camp, Rick Tramanto's former right-hand man at Osteria di Tramanto and former Blackbird sous chef. On the beverage front, a handful of seasonal cocktails -- such as the Knotted Pine, made with gin, cherry brandy and orange juice splashed with a bit of German pilsner -- while craft beer and wine by the glass are also available.
