If you have a hard time looking yourself in the mirror the morning after ... or the night before, the Odyssey II Cocktail Lounge might not be the place for you. Mirrors line the wall of this community lounge, which attracts customers from several South Side communities. The Odyssey II is a laid-back party lounge. A deejay general plays "whatever the customers want," which means a mix of R&B, disco, 1970s music, and sometimes blues and jazz. There are no set hours nor are there specific special nights. "We just give the customers whatever it is that they want," says Clark, the goateed, cigar-smoking, straw hat-wearing, tall and slim owner who manages the lounge from his stool at the end of the bar.
