You'll find only traditional bagel flavors such as egg, poppy seed and pumpernickel (no blueberries allowed) at this New York-style bagel spot. Pick your flavor, then top it off with a house-made cream cheese or choose one of the bagel sandwiches made with Boar's Head meats and house-smoked fish. The bagel boiling process here is downright scientific: a fancy filtration system adjusts Chi-town water so that its properties match those of water in the Big Apple. Like its Lincoln Park sibling, this Loop location of NYC Bagel Deli is strictly a counter-service operation, but there's plenty of seating (and flat-screen TVs) in the contemporary dining room, which is accented with granite and stainless steel.
