This casual, cash-only Uptown spot serves traditional West African fare to a predominantly Nigerian-American crowd, mostly from the neighborhood. The base of the menu consists of spicy, flavorful soups and stews (various meat, fish and vegetable options are available), all served with fufu, a starchy, doughy ball made from pounded, boiled yam, potato, cassava or plantain, traditionally used to scoop up bits of stew. Sides include fried plantains and whipped okra. Alcohol is not permitted.
