New England Seafood Company Fish MarketChicago
Lobster traps, buoys and other ocean-esque accents adorn this Roscoe Village shop-eatery, which features fresh seafood, flown in daily from New England, for sale--or for a snack. The three owners, brothers who hail from Boston and are part of a family wholesale seafood business, operate an in-store restaurant that serves traditional East Coast eats like steamers, fried clams and lobster rolls (in buns also imported from New England). Even the potato chips are East Coast-centric--the eatery offers bags of Cape Cod chips as a side--and you can also nosh on fish entrees like fried or grilled haddock, white clam chowder and lobster bisque. A kids' menu offers chicken fingers, hot dogs and other small fry fare.
