Mr. Kite's moved from 1153 N. State Street to this new location late summer of 2007.

Party planners looking for a hoot, take note: Mr. Kite's makes custom fortune cookies. They will type up wacky forecasts tailored to your friends' personalities and bake the strips of paper into fortune cookies. Serve the goodies to unsuspecting guests and watch the fun begin. It's one of the custom services offered by this cozy confectionery run by Taiwan emigre Dominick Kite. Besides an array of chocolate treats, this Gold Coast storefront creates corporate gift baskets and specializes in doing novelty chocolate molds. Choose from a standard form, such as a sweet 'key' to the city of Chicago, or go for a customized sculpture (past examples including the John Hancock Center and the Chicago Bulls). Customized sculptures require advance notice.
