This popular, bustling Lakeview BYOB features a menu of authentic Mexican fare peppered with plenty of mole dishes. Appetizers run the gamut from chicken tamales with tomatillo salsa to tilapia tacos with avocado-serrano mayo. Entrees, which top out at about $20, include classics such as cochinita pibil (slow-roasted pork, marinated in achiote and sour orange juice) and carne asada (wood-grilled rib-eye). The multiple mole preparations include a wood-grilled chicken breast with zesty mole rojo, a grilled pork chop with sweet mole manchamanteles and rack of lamb with a complex Oaxacan-style mole negro.
