Set to open March 4, 2014, this cozy American joint (which only seats a little over 40 patrons) features unique creations from Chef Lee Kuebler, formerly of Michael in Winnetka and Ada Street in Chicago. Menu items include everything from a lobster corn dog, to chicken wing confit and gruyere dip with caramelized onions and bacon. Those with a heartier appetite can indulge in the dry aged steak, which comes with brown butter, garlic and thyme. The drink menu takes us back to the pre-Prohibition era, with selections such as a rye manhattan, whiskey sour, mint julep, gin martini, moscow mule and more. Curious about the name? It comes from an old trail that used to stretch from Chicago to Milwaukee.
