Making a good choice is easy at the Maxwell St. Depot because there are only four things on the menu. If the famous Maxwell Street-style Polish sausage or pork chop sandwich sound too exotic, the hamburgers and hot dogs will have to do. Each sandwich is made-to-order, generously topped with standard trimmings such as raw onions and mustard. Weather permitting, diners can stroll up to an outside window and order without having to enter the small interior. Either way, however, be prepared to eat on the hoof, or in the car, because the Maxwell St. Depot has no tables. While there's no room to sit, there's enough to enjoy some of the best Chicago signature sandwiches.
