This tiny Rogers Park BYOB featuring "Persian cuisine with a Northern twist," offers dishes you don'tfind at every other Middle Eastern restaurant (read: no hummus or falafel). Instead, look for appetizers such as mirza ghasemi (roasted eggplant with tomato and garlic), and entrees such as fesenjan (stew of chicken in a walnut-pomegranate sauce) and gheimeh bademjan (beef stew with eggplant and yellow split peas). The cozy storefront space features exposed brick walls with sconces and Persian photographs, and tables are dressed with less-cheesy-than-Chinatown plastic tablecloths.
