Peruvian-born brothers Javier, Roberto and Marco Alday took over this Lakeview BYOB in October 2008, tweaked the menu, gave the place a fresh coat of paint (but saved the enormous full-color photo murals of Peru) and reopened with the same chef. The menu features Peruvian specialties such as ceviche, arroz con mariscos, the Peruvian spin on paella, and lomo saltado, a Peruvian-style stir-fry of steak, onions and tomatoes. Machu Picchu serves a half-dozen steak dishes -- including filet mignon and sirloin steak, seasoned with a rub made with Peruvian aji panca pepper, which patrons can dine on while watching Bears, Bulls and other local games on the eatery's two large TVs.
