At this down-home Grand Crossing bar in the shadow of the Chicago Skyway toll bridge, the neighborhood folks all know each other and a few University of Chicago students drop in to rub elbows the locals. It's an oddly shaped rectangular room, which adds to the charm and intimacy of the club, a mainstay on the South Side blues scene since the early '70s. Performances often emphasize traditional call-and-response audience participation, and regular performers include Sir Walter Scott and the Mighty World Band, Tre and the Blue Knights and Mr. Shorty Mack. Every Saturday, a rotation of new blues talent keeps things fresh.
