This cute little Edison Park bakery from a group of French Pastry School grads specializes in breakfast pastries, cafe-style lunches and French-inspired desserts. Metropolis coffee and fresh-baked muffins, scones and croissants, as well as bagels from New York Bagel and Bialy (the only thing not made in house), are popular with morning Metra commuters. Lunch brings choices such as ham-and-cheese on house-made brioche, vegetable tarts and a homemade soup of the day. The poached pear-and-hazelnut tart is not to be missed. Wanna pick up some baking chops? The shop offers classes in bread baking and holiday cookie decorating, among others.
