Lawry's the Prime Rib has occupied this Italian Renaissance-inspired mansion since May 1974. Lawry's offers several dining spaces: the small Edwardian Room, the main Windsor Dining Room, the Regent's Room for private parties of up to 120 people and the McCormick Room. The Evening Ale & Sandwich Bar offers first-come, first-served seating and a menu of small bites and brews. Clientele is mainly an older crowd of regulars and visiting professionals but the restaurant's splendor attracts romantics of all ages. Fresh fish has been added in recent years in addition to Lawry's staple of prime rib served from a rolling silver cart by the "Royal Order of Carvers." The celebrated spinning bowl salad is still served tableside by servers clad in old-fashioned uniforms. Lawry's Seasoned Salt was swiped off the tables beginning in 1938, offered for retail thereafter.
