Since opening in November 2007, Koz's on the River has been attracting locals looking for a clubby vibe closer to home. The carpeted front room features suede and leather couches, plenty of pillows and a 42-inch plasma TV that shows sports by day and is synced up to music videos while a DJ spins on Saturday nights. A large granite bar is surrounded by three more plasma screens and high-top cocktail tables draped in black tablecloths. Food and drink specials change daily, but regular favorites include the fish tacos and house vodka drinks, made with liquor-soaked cherries and pineapple pieces for extra flavor. The crowd also changes based on the day of the week, with 20-something flooding in on Tuesdays and Saturdays and an older crowd balancing out most other nights.
