The owners of Hugo's Frog Bar and Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse have opened a second Hugo's location in Naperville. The menu focuses on seafood and shellfish that is flown in daily, plus signature steaks like the W.R.'s Chicago cut, a USDA prime, bone-in, rib-eye steak. For starters, try the crab cake with hot-pink mayonnaise or frog legs with garlic butter.
The seafood changes daily, but might include choices like mesquite grilled Norwegian salmon or a seared tuna steak with wasabi and pickled ginger. For lighter appetites, a rib-eye steak sandwich and fish and chips are available. The highlight of the desserts is the muddy-bottom pie, a decadent concoction of Oreo cookie crust, marshmallows, macadamia nuts, chocolate and vanilla ice creams with chocolate sauce.
