At this recently opened Chinese restaurant, you could order Americanized Chinese takeout fare such as General Tso's chicken or fried rice. But it's authentic Chinese dishes such as chilled baby octopus ($6.95), stir-fried cumin-spiced lamb ($12.95) and homemade hand pancakes ($4.95) that owner Nancy Wu said chef Gao (her uncle) specializes in. The menu of more than 200 dishes also features traditional dim sum such as shrimp and chive dumplings ($6.95 for a dozen). Exposed brick, gold tablecloths and potted bamboo help the dining room hit the right note between polished and casual. Keep an eye out for lunch specials, which at $4.95 to $6.95, are an especially good value.
