Run by Former Rock Bottom brewer Pete Crowley and Sausagefest organizer John Neurauter, a den of dark wood, this West Loop brewpub – once the site of the Haymarket Square Riot – is inspired by working-class roots. The bartenders are pouring 16 house beers (including barrel-aged brews) and up to 10 guest drafts, a mix of American crafts and Belgians. Another 50 or so bottled brews will stock the coolers. Hearty chilis, barbecued meats, homemade sausages and thin-crust pizzas are turned out by the chefs for those seated in the main bar room outfitted with sports-airing TVs or the dining room with views of the glassed-in brewery.  A back bar with darts and other games provides space for private parties, overflow, a monthly beer and cheese school series and the Drinking & Writing Theater, which hosts weekly shows.
