Grahamwich introduces a new menu and prices on April 1. Instead of $10 sammies across the board, they range from $7-$10, and two sizes of snacks ($3 and $5) will be available. Not one to stop at lobster corn dogs and Pop Rocks-coated foie gras lollies, aka foielipops (to name just a couple of his characteristically rule-breaking greatest hits), chef Graham Elliot (Graham Elliot) has taken on the common sandwich. This casual counter-service spot (cash only, at least for now) offers sammies both hot and cold (turkey confit with candied yams, stewed cranberries and sage mago, or grilled cheese with Wisconsin cheddar, prosciutto, tomato marmalade and cheese curds), as well as snacks such as pickled seasonal veggies, potato chips, truffled popcorn and house-made sodas. Save room for soft serve with tasty toppings such roasted apple, salted caramel sauce and pie-crust crumbles. The digs here will be minimal--expect vintage-inspired wallpaper, a chalkboad menu and a long communal table in the back. Elliot's well-documented appreciation for music will be on display in full force, with a soundtrack pumping out rockabilly, surf guitar and old-school punk. In the works: the Grahambulance, a delivery truck (hopefully) in the form of a VW van bringing Grahamwiches to the masses.
