We called a month ahead to try to get reservations, but they are booked 3+months out and suggested that we grab a seat at the bar to eat when we arrive. However, when we arrived, we were able to get a table within 20min. of being there (there was no line outside nor groups of people standing around the bar waiting for a table, considering the alleged 3mnth booking). Once seated, we got our food served within minutes. However, after an hour, we were told by the waiter and male host that we needed to be quick with our meal (in not so many words), which I find to be horrible service. My friend and I both looked at each other in shock and disgust that they have this policy. I don't want to spend an evening with the staff staring me down as if I'm causing a crime. I want to be able to go out and enjoy the company I'm with and the food. Needless to say, the food was great, but I wouldn't go back considering their philosophy is to eat and dash. We were in and out of that place in 90min. and the last 30min. of it were spent with the staff staring us down and reminding us every 10min. that we basically needed to hurry up. They handed us the dessert menu and check before we got thru half our dishes. I don't think anyone's business motto should be to rush your patrons out the door as quickly as possible unless they're causing trouble. If there's a 2hr wait, people will wait, if the food is worth it, but I don't know many that want to dine out on a time limit forced by the restaurant. If not for the bad experience, I wouldn't have a problem going back and waiting over an hour for a table, as long as they would allow me to drink at the bar or lounge area. If anyone knows if they have this same policy at the bar, I'd love to hear.
