After working in the corporate world for 20 years, Anna Caterini realized she wanted to explore a different career path. Realizing her mother's popular meatball recipe would be a unique choice for a food truck venture, she started the Getta Polpetta truck ("polpetta" means "meatball" in Italian). As of right now, the truck cruises around the Loop peddling meatball-filled French bread sandwiches. An egg-meatball vegetarian version served on a ciabatta roll is available as well. Each sandwich comes with chips and a drink, and Caterini hopes to eventually introduce other items to the menu, such as meatball pot pies and soups. Track the truck on Twitter @GettaPolpetta.
