This Lincoln Park nosh spot provides foodie-worthy franks at (relatively) reasonable prices to Clybourn Corridor shoppers and fine dining refugees. You can get a basic dog if you must, but the real meat of the menu is the lineup of specialty dogs and sausages, which includes creations such as beef curry (with orange marmalade, orange salad, parsley, blood orange oil and raisin slaw) and chicken caesar (with shredded romaine, caesar mayo, black garlic and croutons). The restaurant makes six sausages in house, along with aioli, red pepper relish and other condiments, and the buttery French-style split buns come courtesy of Nicole’s Bake Shop. The eventual goal is a rotating roster of 160 hot dogs, including two special creations each month: One with proceeds benefitting a charity and another designed by a local celeb chef.
