The Bar on Buena's co-owner and chef are behind this charming neighborhood bar and eatery in Ravenswood. A long mahogany bar, brick fireplace and candle-shaped lighting fixtures hung from the ceiling lend a cozy tavern vibe. Whiskeys and scotches play a starring role in the drink offers; on the beer front, local beer expert Phil Kuhl (you may know him from Sheffield's Beer School) put together a well-rounded list matching local craft brews with European imports. Booze-friendly fare ranges from mussels and frites to pork belly sandwiches and platters of sausages, pates and cheeses.
