Suburban sibling of the popular Gage Park Flamingo's. Co-owner Guadalupe Lopez is the mastermind behind the 100 plus flavors they serve; look for Italian ice choices like mamey and mango, plus more obscure flavors like carrot, horchata and alfalfa-pineapple. We really like the spicy-sweet "diablos," in flavors like tamarind and pineapple. Ice cream runs the range from vanilla and cherry to rice pudding and sweet potato. Guadalupe uses dairy products from nearby Elgin Dairy and adds very little sugar (and no preservatives), so you really taste the ingredients.
