Soups, sandwiches and other cafe fare based on recipes from chef-director Mary Ellen Diaz, who worked previously at North Pond and the now-shuttered Printer's Row, comprises the menu at the Ravenswood Manor location of this nonprofit eatery (the other locations are in the Lillstreet Art Center and the downtown Chicago Visitor Center). The reasonably priced menu (most items are under $10) also includes one heartier dinner item exclusive to this location: Manor Street Fried Chicken, served with mango jicama salad. If you're just looking for a quick bite to eat on your way to the nearby Brown Line stop, there's also an array of baked goods, from Michigan sour cherry pies to scones.
