This artist's haven and national landmark--around since 1898--houses mostly galleries and studios for more than 50 artists. The charming building boasts bronze cast elevator doors and ornate clocks, plus murals painted by resident artists in the early 20th Century in 10th floor atrium. A Venetian courtyard garden can be viewed from many of the studios and accessed through the Fine Arts Building Gallery.

Other services in the building include a shop selling musical instruments, The Jazz Institute of Chicago, yoga and Feldenkreis classes, specialty bookstores and a restaurant and coffee shop.
