This family-friendly brewpub restaurant closed its Palatine location in 2006, and after a year-long hiatus, has reopened again in the same space. Signature eats include hot-from-the-oven garlic pretzels and beer-battered walleye bites for starters, and for entrees, the rack of pork finished with a pale ale apricot glaze, whitefish cooked on a cedar plank and plenty of reasonably priced steaks. There's also plenty of lighter fare, including salads and sandwiches. Beer is brewed on site, thanks to the 10-barrel system in the basement. An 80-seat outdoor patio beckons during the warmer months, outfitted with a firepit.
