This decidedly low-key cocktail spot has all the sophistication of its next-door-neighbor Hydrate (also helmed by owner Mark Liberson) in an intimate lounge setting with a focus on craft cocktails. The upscale interior evokes images from cocktail lounges of an era gone by (with neutral colors, fabrics and fixtures), and to further the speakeasy vibe there's even a secret door between the two spots for those leaving from Elixir. On the menu you'll find pre-prohibition style drinks along with more modern mixes like the Strawberry Basil Lemonade, with vodka, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, fresh filtered water, simple syrup, rhubarb bitters and fresh basil leaves. In the coming weeks, look for late-night noshing in the form of cheese plates and charcuterie from neighborhood deli Pastoral. And if you'd like to grab a drink elsewhere while waiting for a table to open up (every person admitted to the lounge will have a seat), there's a texting service in place to notify your party when spots become available.
