This tiny Logan Square eatery only seats about 18 and offers Puerto Rican specialties like mofongo , a dish of mashed plantains, garlic and pork, jibarito sandwiches (pronounced hee-bah-ree-to) with a choice of steak, pork or chicken -- the ingredients are stuffed between fried plantains instead of bread. There are Cuban ham sandwiches for the traditionalist. Specialties include the mixta, a large dish of grilled meats with rice and beans. Head here on the weekends when they add specialties like seafood salads and mondongo, a hearty soup that is supposed to cure any hangover.
