Works from local artists decorate the walls at this Rogers Park neighborhood tavern, which dates back to the 1960s and features cover-free blues, country and jazz music from Thursday to Saturday night. Duke's doesn't serve food; however, there's plenty on hand to drink. The bar has a rotating list of six beers on tap ranging from PBR to craft brews like Half Acre's Daisy Cutter, but many patrons opt for Old Style in cans. Duke's also offers a number of specialty cocktails, including a Riviera Martini (pear vodka, elderflower liquor and freshly squeezed lime, topped with champagne) and morning mixes like a cherry mimosa and a veggie-packed bloody Mary. And it's perfectly fine to bring your pooch--dogs are welcome inside the bar.
