At this Bucktown restaurant filled with mingle-friendly communal seating, the contemporary American menu gets a kick from global influences. Chef Aaron Lirette cooks up small and large plates such as grilled octopus with chickpeas, oranges and romesco sauce and a whole-roasted fish served nightly. The restaurant's havarti-topped cheeseburger with tomato remoulade and truffle mayo is a favorite. In warmer months, the sweet off-street patio is one of the best in the neighborhood, with several communal tables for dining and a separate lounge area for cocktailing. The owners are also behind beer and sausage bar Bangers & Lace and West Loop club Lumen.
