Fried food and friendliness are the specialties at this long-running, family-owned neighborhood bar and restaurant in Hegewisch. The waitstaff notices every new face that pulls up at the bar, and the owners aren't kidding when they call themselves a seafood family: perch, shrimp, frog legs, red snapper, walleye, lobster, halibut and mahi mahi are just some of the offerings on the inexpensive lunch and dinner menu, which changes frequently depending on what's fresh. Fried chicken, pork chops and steaks are also served up. Indoors, expect a rustic atmosphere complete with prize fish and other sporting decor on the walls. Out back, there's a horseshoe and bocci court flanked with picnic tables and enhanced by Lake Michigan views.
